| Himalayan Blues Festival 2007 "Venue" "Artists" "Pictures" | ||

The “Himalayan Blues Festival” is the
first ever International Blues festival in Nepal.
It is to be held from 5th-9th September 2007.
This festival will see an array of International
Blues artists and bands playing in Nepal for the first time.
The festival is supported by Rockmandu (a web portal
promoting Blues and Rock music in Nepal) and Blues room
(a Blues music society in Nepal). Rockmandu is accredited
with organizing the highly acclaimed "Kathmandu Blues 2006".
This event was a huge success cherished both by the audience and the media. The overwhelming response generated at “Kathmandu Blues 2006” and thereafter has inspired us to organize an International Blues Music festival hence the inception of the “Himalayan Blues Festival”. Our long term goal is to make this an annual event which hopefully will be bigger and better as the years go by. Currently we are in touch with artists from around the world who will be performing at this event. A few bands have already confirmed and a few more are extremely excited and enthused by the idea of performing their music in the most exotic of locations, in the foothills of the mighty Himalayas. This will truly be a world class international event. Let’s together be a part of it and make it a huge success. |
